Groupdel command on Linux (deletes a group)

The groupdel command on Linux deletes a group from the system. It modifies the system account files, deleting all references to the group. The group to be deleted must exist.

You must manually check the file systems to ensure that none of the files remain with the group or with your identification.

# groupdel accounting
