How much time do I have to take each test?

Find out how much test time and number of questions to prepare yourself well

It depends on the test. See the table below:

Exam Test Time Questions
CompTIA Linux+XK0-004 90 minutes 60
LPIC-1 (101/102) 90 minutes 60
LPIC-2 90 minutes 60
LPIC-3 90 minutes 60
Linux Foundation Certified SysAdmin (LFCS) 120 minutes
Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE) 120 minutes

In short, you average less than 1:30 minutes for each question. When doing the simulations, time your time. This is also important and consider the “stress” factor as well, with a margin of 20% of the time.

You can check the price of the tests here.

You can also see that a certification is worthwhile here because the salaries are good, and the companies are looking for Linux professionals. The benefits far outweigh the sacrifice.

And if you’ve made up your mind, check out our Certification Guide.

And if you want to know where to take the tests, check the list of cities.

If you want to know the language of the exams, check out this post.
